Zoey had a super day! Great naps, a fun playdate, and all kinds of new tricks!

Anything that will support Zoey is being used to aid her up to her feet.

Zoey is enjoying spending time in the kitchen with Mom and Dad--we made a cupboard for her and also filled it with toys. Since she likes making noise so much--I bought a play pot with a lid. She immediately knew what to do with that!

Zoey has gotten to this part of the bookshelf so often that I decided to make it hers. We put things on it that she is allowed to take.

This time Zoey got up all by herself. She has been doing this all day! She's even "cruising" a bit--but not too steady yet.

WATCH OUT WORLD. . . here comes Zoey!

So, Zoey is coming up to the 8 month mark and WOW can this kid move! She is constantly crawling all over the house finding new things to explore. Tonight she figured out how to open and close and open and close and open and close the kitchen drawers. She also found out how cool it sounds when she runs her hand against the metal vent. Of course that doesn't rival the sound that knocking the magazine rack against the cedar chest makes. And while we are at it--running her pacifer against her crib makes a noise too. So as you can see (or hear) our house is full of new sounds. She is babbling more often and answers me when I babble to her. She is learning to wave and will NEVER stay still on the changing table. This little girl is growing and growing fast.

"Hey, Daddy! Are you coming upstairs?"

I admit--she didn't get here by herself--but once she was there, she held her own for quite sometime. She is constantly standing herself up on Tyler and me.

Zoey's new toy

So as a post christmas gift, Zoey bought us a video camcorder to capture all the cute things that she does. We have been having a lot of fun with it. We have been able to film Zoey eating, giggling, army crawling around the livingroom, etc. The battery finally went dead today-right before she basically pulled herself up to her feet using me as her anchor. She is so strong. Anyway, even though we have the video camera now--we will try not to forget to keep taking pictures for the blog!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 7 Month Pictures are here. . .

At 7 months old, Zoey thinks she is so cool when she rides on Daddy's shoulders. She has the biggest smile--every time. (But of course, those of you who know Zoey know that she never smiles.)

Zoey playing with her blocks--her favorite thing to do is to knock down the towers that dad and I spend so much time crafting.

Zoey has gotten pretty good at picking up her cheerios and putting them close to her mouth. Granted--most of them end up on the floor--but progress is being made.
