So, Zander is now officially 5 years old and 1 day! He is talking so much these days but there are just some words that we still can't figure out. (Remember the bwackfoat?) This morning I died laughing over this one:
Not sure how the conversation got here. . .
Zander: How big is the wightbob?
Me: What, honey?
Zander: How big is the wightbob?
Me: Hmmm, I'm sorry, what?
Zander: How big is the wightbob?
Me: Zander, I'm sorry I don't understand what you are saying.
Zander: Am I too far away?
I still don't understand what he was asking (I think it was about a lightbulb), but I LOVE that he thinks we don't understand him because of his volume or distance to us--not his speech. He makes me laugh everyday!!

A Visit from the Tooth Fairy
My baby lost his first tooth yesterday! Literally. . .lost it. We have no idea where or when it came out, but at bath time, the excitement started with me noticing the large gap in his smile. He wasn't upset at all about not having the actual tooth. He just matter of factly agreed that we need to write a note to the Tooth Fairy and explain the situation. So done. The Tooth Fairy made its visit sometime between Zander falling promptly to sleep at 8:30pm (seriously, head hit pillow, deep contented sleep) and 1:46am. How do I know this? Because it was at 1:46am that Zander came out of his room and said these exact words, "MOMMY! I just have ONE good thing to tell you!" Daddy said, "Go back to bed, buddy!" Mommy responded, "What's your one good thing?" Zander said, "The Tooth Fairy came!" Then he turned around and went back to sleep.
In the morning, Tyler was getting the kids ready to go to daycare. I contently listened to Zander show and tell Daddy about his Tooth Fairy gifts. There were two Batman toothbrushes, a note, and four quarters. He was pretty stoked!
