Here's to Summer!

I know-no new pictures. I honestly just haven't really had time to take any good pictures lately. I was talking to a friend the other day and most the time I don't have to catch people up with what is going on--since most people follow the blog--but there is a lot going on that we haven't shared with everyone. So here is all the latest with the Livingston Family:

1) Tyler got a new job. He will be working at Crosswinds Middle School in Woodbury starting in September. He will continue to teach English in a multi-age 7th/8th grade classroom. This is a great thing because it means that he and I will work on the same side of the Twin Cities--instead of completely opposite of each other.

2) Because of this new job, we have found new daycare for Zoey that is about 3 miles away from my school. We are excited that we found a place we like as much as our current place. Zoey will start there full time on Aug. 7th.

3) It seemed logical that now that we work in the same area--we should live closer to where we work. So we have signed a contract with Direct By Owner and our house will soon be on the market.

4) Our townhome is undergoing some extensive contruction this summer. The outside is getting new siding. We decided to get new windows. We just got a new garage door yesterday. And will will be getting a brand new deck. There have been some road blocks along the way but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We are currently spending every free minute we have getting our house cleaned up and ready to show to all the potentional buyers out there. (Keep your fingers crossed.)

5) We haven't officially started looking for a new place yet, but we are hoping to move to the Maplewood/North St. Paul/Oakdale/Woodbury area. The way the market is currently, we figure it will be easy to find a house, but tricker to sell one.

6) As for summer, it has been a pretty busy one to say the least. I am auditing an Educational Psychology class at the University of Minnesota--it has been very interesting, but time consuming. I am also involved with a lot of new things going on at my school and tutoring 4 great kids this summer. Tyler is taking care of Zoey while I am gone at school and class and has been doing a lot of work around the house and working on finishing his capstone for his Master's Degree.

7) Zoey has been just going with the flow. She is looking forward to grandpa and grandma Nyhlen coming next weekend to take her on the train at Como Zoo. (Actually, I think Grandpa is more excited, but Zoey will enjoy it too.) She gets to spend the night with them while Tyler and I use the weekend to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary.

Well, that about covers it. I will post new pictures of Zoey soon. I hope that everyone is having a great summer!
