This morning the whole family loaded up in the car and went to Riverside to see the baby. I love the ultrasound experience--it is so much fun to see the little baby moving around--and BOY does this one move.
The technician who did the ultrasound said that she thinks it is a boy, but because I am only 18 weeks and he seriously wouldn't stop moving around, she wasn't able to snap a picture of the proof. Both Tyler and I are very excited about the news and are now on the hunt for that perfect boy name--and NO we will not share that until he is born.
So Tyler got his pizza. . .
But are you really going to deny a pregnant woman one of her cravings?
Zoey of course is thrilled with the news of a little brother. . .that and the fact that we finally bought her some new shoes that fit. :-)

Happy Valentine's Day!
"I love you THIS much!"
Zoey is happily singing herself to sleep. My husband brought me lunch at work today. All in all it has been a good Valentine's Day. I hope that everyone experienced little things that make you happy, like I did today.
I had to work late last night because of parent-teacher conferences and the night before I was feeling pretty sick so I feel like it has been awhile since I have really spent time with Zoey. So tonight, as Tyler conked out on the couch, she and I played on the floor. As you all know, she is constantly amazing me--and tonight was no different. Just in the past few days, it feels like her vocabulary has exploded! No, she still can't say Grandma, but she is talking in complete sentences and asking questions and giving orders. For example, she'll cover something up with a blanket like a block, then look at me and say, "Where did block go?"
She has this alphabet puzzle--that she can put together by herself in under 5 minutes--but the part that amazes me is the connection she has already made with the letters. She will pick up a letter and show it to me and tell me the letter, the sound, and a word that goes with it. One of her favorites is the letter K. "K, k, Kylie!" Another example, she finished the puzzle except for one piece tonight and asked, "Where did Y go?" Sure enough, that was the letter that was missing. She found it.
Anyway, so that is a little update of where Zoey is at with her development.
Here is a picture of what Zoey does with her animals. She tucked them all in for a nap the other night and then joined them. (And then waited patiently for Dad to run and get the camera.)

Look who's showing off again. . .
Yeah--it's Zoey's parents. Here is a video that was taken last month. Enjoy!
