Well, it was almost a worry-free labor and delivery.
On Tuesday evening Judy started feeling cramping pains in her left leg. They weren't major and they went away when she was laying down, but anytime she was vertical they were bothersome.
The next morning she was given an ultra-sound for her leg and the doctors discovered that she has a clot in her lower leg. Treatment is a series of blood thiners starting with a week or two's worth of injections into her stomach twice a day. Needless to say, Judy is not happy about that!
While the clotting is a concern, this is not terribly uncommon and can be treated safely. Judy will be in the hospital an extra day and now has even more reason to take it easy during our big move to North St. Paul.
