Sprout is itching to come. . .

Yesterday evening around 5:30, I started feeling pretty regular contractions that were on the painful side--so I called the nurse's line and told them about the contractions. I was told to lay down for an hour and continue to count. By 7:00, I had about 5-6 more contractions. The nurse told me to lay down for another hour and count. Seven more contractions came and went by 8:00--so they had me go to St. John's Hospital for more observations. Tyler and I left Zoey with Grandma and Grandpa and drove to the hospital. They hooked me up to the monitors and watched for another hour--9 more contractions! My midwife told the nurse to give me a shot to stop the contractions--the shot made me very shaky, but the other pills they gave me to help the shakiness made me tired--but the good thing was that the medicine stopped the contractions for the time being. So I came home late late last night 1 cm dilated and no more contractions--and on limited activity until my doctor's appointment on Wednesday.
