Updates, Garages Sales, and Big Girl Beds

Last weekend we spent the day at Nana and Poppa's looking through all the stuff we are storing there and getting ready for the Livingston Family Garage Sale tomorrow. I am looking at all my stuff with critical eyes--do I really want to move this to the new place? We have a lot a junk! Zoey and Nana took a break at the end of the day to enjoy a freeze pop on the deck.

Later on that same night--Tyler and I took Grandpa Nyhlen's Miata for a joy ride to Tyler's Birthday get together at Old Chicago. It was a nice ride and a fun night.

This week my mom was in town helping me out with Zoey and housework and other stuff. . .one of our goals is to get Zoey used to sleeping in a big girl bed before we move. She took her naps in the big girl bed 3 days in a row. She did so good! Of course Grandma was putting her down for naps. Then Grandma left and I tried to put her down for a nap today and she would only sleep in her crib--hmmm. As you can see above, she loved to go to bed surrounded by her books. It was very sweet.

Update--had my doctor's appointment on Wednesday--everything is fine. I was told to continue to rest as needed and limit my activity as needed. If anything like last Sunday happens again after 36 weeks, they won't take any measures to stop labor--but obviously the longer Sprout is safe inside, the better. Next appointment is July 11th.

Zoey had her 2 year wellness check today and she just went in to that doctor's office and showed hime everything she could do. I made sure that she told the doctor about her ouchy knees and how her "tummy hurts, baby kicking." Zoey believes that she too has a baby in her tummy that is kicking and makes everything hurt. The doctor remembered that she is the kid who growled--so Zoey didn't disappoint--she showed him her best lion sound and told him all about her birthday. It is so much fun to watch Zoey interact with other people. She isn't a shy child. Then came the vaccination shot. She and I talked about it before the nurse came in and talked about being brave. When she got the shot, she held both my hands, grimaced, and then was over it. No crying at all. She got her sticker and we left. Zoey is in the 50th percentile for weight and height and still in the 90th percentile for head size.

90th percentile? That explains a lot. Glad all is well!

Careful on those Miata joy rides. Before you were born, Judy, Dad took me on a motorcycle joy ride--in my eighth month. But then you were early...... hmmm.

Wow, zoey. Even I tear up a little when I get the shots, but my mom doesn't come with to hold my hands anymore. In fact, last shot I had, I think my mom was the one who gave me the shot!

Glad to hear the doc got a full update from Zoey. All I know is that zoey and gia went to the park. I got that update several times yesterday :-)

Yes, big heads=more room for brains=smart kid

At least that's what I want to think with my big-headed baby.

Glad to hear Sprout is staying on the inside.
