Mommy: Zoey, that shirt doesn't match your pants. It's red and you have no red on your pants.
Zoey: Ah, can't just today I be a rainbow?
Mommy: So you don't care that your outfit doesn't match?
Zoey: Nope, I will be like a kid rainbow pancake. Look, There are red and green and pink sprinkles. And I am going to wear a sweater!
Something that I always have and will admire about my daughter is her uniqueness. I think my mom once compared her style to Punky Brewster. Anytime I see an outrageously colorful outfit, I think of Zoey.

Nana: Wonderful! Zoey you are so precious! I love her view of the world.
Mary S: Plus she wants everyone to pet her horse sweater because it's SO soft! What a joyful girl!
Tracy Stefan: That is awesome! I love seeing kids when they pick out their own outfits! (But I admit I have to swallow my words sometimes when those kids are mine and we are going out in public!)
Oh - and have you read the book "Ella Sarah Gets Dressed?" It's very appropriate!
Grandma Nyhlen: She's read it at my house, I know. She's definitely an Ella Sarah, Fancy Nancy, and Punky Brewster rolled into one!
